Here’s the true “asphalt” shovel. Not a full size scoop and not a traditional shovel - just the perfect combination of the two. Once called “coal shovels”, these have 16-gauge oversized steel heads with “scoop-like” side edges to prevent the loss of material. More controllable than a full-sized scoop.
